Make Me Laugh Clown A Hit!

Q.  What is “Make Me Laugh Clown“?
A.  Simply stated, “Make Me Laugh Clown” is a clown challenge!  Our Festival clowns can strut their stuff as balloon twisters, face painters and/or walk around entertainers for skill development, recognition and even an award or two.  It took place on the first floor of Colonie Center in front of Sears and LL Bean, 11AM - 2 PM, on Saturday, August 2nd.  Thousands joined in on the fun!
 
 Albany Area Clown Continues His Executive Ways

June 21, 2008 Albany, NY…Clowns of America International, Richyville, Pennsylvania recently announced that past president Paul “Fuddi-Duddy" Kleinberger has been appointed the organization’s Director-At-Large. As the Director-At-Large, Fuddi-Duddy will advise the executive board of the nearly 5000 member organization of performing clowns in eighteen countries on non profit operations and adminstration, as well as clown community concerns. Additionally Paul will have the opportunity to work on special projects and serve as an elder statesman of the organization.

Paul has been a performing clown since the mid 1990’s, has served COAI in a number of capacities over the years, most recently as President. Paul resides in Loudonville with his wife Miriam where he manages Smiles Unlimited, a family entertainment enterprise that features the traditional clown arts.  Paul is a clown arts educator and also serves as the Executive Director of the Capital Region Clown Arts Festival.

Capital Region Clown Arts Festival-2008  The 2008 Fesival kicked off on Friday evening, January 4, 2008 and concluded April 4, 2008.

The 2008 version of the education effort called the Capital Region Clown Arts Festival hosted by the Fuddi-Duddy Institute, Alley #369, concluded on the evening of April 4th with the announcement by Director of Education Miriam "Senorita Soto" Kleinberger that the following participants qualified for the Master of Smiles Certificate recognizing academic and smile generating accomplishments in the clown arts:

The Capital Region Clown Arts Festival is a unique education program featuring intermediate and advanced clown arts classes and performance challenges.  This year 70 clowns from Albany, New York north to Plattsburg, New York celebrated the art of clowning by participating in weekend festival sessions.
