Introduction To Clowning

Are you interested in learning more about the performing art of clowning?

Do you want to learn how design your own face and comic personality?

Would you like to learn how to go about selecting a personalized costume?

Want to learn some classic clown skills and routines?

Do you want to perform and get more laughs than you ever thought possible?

This would be the class for you!

An Introduction To The Performing Art of Clowning, also called Clowning Around or I Want To Be A Clown, sometimes called Clown Collge will do all of the above and a lot more!
 
 
This program is approximately 30 hours of classes, usually presented in 3 hour segments, that introduces an aspiring clown to some of the history and traditions of clowning, make-up application, character types and development, costume selection, public performance skills and provides and an overview of various local, regional and international clown arts organizations.  Students will also be introduced to some of the fun things that clowns do in public such as walk around and improptu entertaining, balloon twisting and face painting.  Plus, some of the many clowns who live, work and perform in the Capital Region often stop by to meet and greet!
 
Tuition is $275.00 includes an annual membership in Clowns of America International, text materials, and a basic make-up kit.
 
When you graduate you will have earned the title "CLOWN" and will be able to perfom for smirks, smiles, giggles and even a belly laugh or two.  Plus, you will have gained a certain comic flare, the confidence to entertain your audience and you will have a much greater appreciation for the clown arts!
