Here are some questions posed to us. We thought we would share the various answers we
have offered:
Q. When will the next Introduction To Clowning class be presented?
A. We expect to offer a Clowing 101 class late this summer or early this fall.
Q. What was MAKE ME LAUGH CLOWN?
A. “Make Me Laugh Clown” was a unique clown challenge! Our Festival
clowns strutted their stuff as balloon twisters, face painters and/or walk around entertainers for fun, skill development,
and a little fund raising. It took place in Colonie Center, on Saturday, August 2nd. It was a lot of fun!
Q. Is the Clown Arts Festival continuing?
A. The 2009 calendar is being looked at now.
Q. What do the CRCAF classes cost?
A. Tuition is FREE!!!!
Q. Do I need to sign up ahead of time?
A. No...just show up. We look forward to your participation.
Q. How were the classes and sesssions presented during 2008 selected?
A. We asked for suggestions. We selected a dozen or so of the most
popular requests.
Q. Will there be any classes that are considered "advanced"?
A. Yes
Q. Do you have to be a clown to participate in the festival?
A. We would recommend that you have an active interest in the art of clowning. Jugglers,
magicians, and other family entertainers are certainly welcome to particpate and should find some meaty subject material,
as well.
Q. When the weather is bad, how will I know if class is in session or not?
A. Listen to the radio or TV. If Colonie Center and Sears are open and operating,
classes are in session. You can always call us or check the web site. We will post an update banner on the home
page if the mall is closed. Any class that is postponed due to weather will be rescheduled, if possible. Keep
an eye on the web site for continuing updates.
Q. I want to learn more about balloon sculpting but I need to go s-l-o-w. Will there
be another Balloon Basics class for those of us who are just beginners?
A. "Balloon Basics...That's It!" has proven to be a hit. We do plan to offer it again
soon. Keep an eye out for annoucements!
Q. I need to work on my face and spend some time with somebody willing to help me find a lighter
look. Can you do that?
A. A make-up lab/workship are always offered as part of the Festival.
It should fill the bill nicely. Similar clinics are offered during the year. Just check back for announcements.
